With a custom garment design, your one-of-a-kind garment comes to life through the art of natural fabrics and botanical dyes.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
SAMPLING YOUR DESIGN
The sampling phase, which includes 1 or 2 samples in lightweight organic cotton and 1 final pattern of your design, comes with a fee ranging from €100 to €150.

2. Making 1 or 2 patterns with samples (2 weeks)

Please note that each sample may undergo an additional fittings to ensure the design is a perfect fit.

STITCHING THE FINAL GARMENT
The final design of your one-of-a-kind IKIGAIA garment will be handmade using
botanically dyed natural fabrics in the pattern and shade of your choosing.
​
The estimated timeframe for a custom made IKIGAIA garment can take up to 4 weeks.
Total costs will range from €350,- to €500,-
FABRIC & MATERIAL SELECTION
You can select a natural fabric from our collection, llike lotus silk, Kala and Khadi cotton, hemp and blockprinted fabrics.
For custom fabric coloring with natural dyes and/or Japanese Shibori dye techniques, an additional fee of €75 to €100 will apply, depending on the complexity of the dyeing process.

1. Making a colour sample of your selected colours and Shibori pattern. (2 hours)​​

2. Hand dyeing the final fabric (1 week)

Pretreatening and mordanting the fabric

Prepairing the dye bath with the right botanical ingredients

Making the Shibori pattern on the fabric.
Please note that the natural dyeing process, including washing and drying, is a slow and mindfull process that takes a lot of time.
